Rivera Publications is an online publisher of open access articles. Articles are published following a rigorous peer review. Our titles span the precincts of health and medicine and social sciences. For each of our publications, we ensure a very transparent and constructive review, and the articles are made available online immediately following acceptance.
'Rivera'—a surname of Spanish and Italian origin—refers to riverbank. We use the word 'Rivera' to emphasize on the free flow of information—the same is reflected in our logo - open pages.
We have come up with some great ideas to revolutionize scholarly publishing for the 21st century.
Peer review
We are very stringent when it comes to peer review; we ensure that reviews are rigorous, constructive, and substantial—even if it is calling for reject/accept/revision. All the reviews are carefully analyzed by handling Editors who will then make a final publication decision, independent of the Publisher.
Article Promotion
Rivera Research Digest program has been designed to increase visibility of articles discussing groundbreaking research. It is a collection of summaries of original research papers (not reviews or case reports) that significantly contribute toward a specific, groundbreaking topic and have a social impact.
Language services

Rivera journals differ from standard journals fundamentally because articles are not published behind subscription paywalls and are therefore accessible to anyone with an internet connection. We do not have a print version and instead publish articles in a continuous format online. To make up for the costs of publishing we ask authors to pay an article processing charge (APC) if their article is accepted. It is free to submit, and the charge is used to cover the cost of publishing, including professional copyediting, peer review, and hosting the article online. For details about APC, visit our article processing charge page.
Rivera follows traditional 'double-blind' review process. An Editor is assigned to handle a single manuscript and at least two experts are invited to evaluate the paper. Based on the recommendations made by the reviewers and Editor's evaluation, the article receives a publication decision.
About timelines: Since we are dealing with external scholars here, we can't guarantee a timeline. However, the normal review process usually takes about 20-35 days; this is segregated for each process, for example a week for the Editor to secure reviewers, 2-3 weeks for reviewers to submit their recommendations, etc. These timelines, however, are flexible and extensions are granted to the reviewers in order to accommodate their schedule. The flexible timelines thus ensure that review you receive is substantial and significantly enhances the quality of the manuscript. While the review process may or may not exceed the estimated timeline, we make sure that the quality is not compromised when it comes to publishing your research. You can submit your manuscript on our online submission portal. Or, you can email your manuscript to the editorial office as attachment. Please make sure that you specify the journal you are interested in submitting.

There are no extra charges for colored images. The publication charges remain the same for all articles irrespective of the number of the images and/or pages (whether colored or not).
No, there are no restrictions on article length (page count). However, we encourage authors to be as concise as possible; and for articles with larger files/data, it is preferable to submit those as supplementary files.
