Corporate Social Responsibility
At Rivera Publications, we are committed to increase the value of scientific research and to make it freely accessible to the public community beyond social and economic barriers. In this 21st century, where the information is freely accessible on the internet, our aim is to upscale our publishing model to ensure that the valuable contribution of the scholars does not go unrecognized. That said, we are adamant on driving the cost of publishing down and increasing the dissemination of the scholarly information through internet.
We work solely to drive the cost of open access publishing to minimum, while maintaining the quality and integrity of a standard review process.
At Rivera, we are stringent on exercising scholarly open access model by:
All articles published in our journals are open access and are immediately available online upon publication.
Thus, our journals differ from standard journals fundamentally because articles are not published behind subscription paywalls and are therefore accessible to anyone with an internet connection. We do not have a print version and instead publish articles in a continuous format online. To make up for the costs of publishing we ask authors to pay an article publication charge (APC) if their article is accepted. It is free to submit, and the charge is used to cover the cost of publishing, including peer review, hosting the article online, and liaison with abstracting and indexing services and customer services.
We ask authors to pay an article publication charge to cover the costs we incur in preparing their article for publication. However, we understand that not all authors have grants which fund the publication of all, or even part of the publishing fee, and this is why we operate a ‘pay what you can afford’ model.
This means that if your article is accepted we will ask you to tell us how much you are able to pay.
We will still publish articles from authors for free who do not have access to funding, as long as their work passes the peer review process.
In this way, we can carry on publishing research from low and middle-income countries and from authors who have little or no funding, but those authors who have access to funds for publication are able to pay for the professional publishing services they have received.
The current Article Processing Charges (APC) for our journals (discounted APC applicable for all journals until 31 March 2022; please check the respective journal homepage for details):

At present, the research community is flooded with numerous open access publishers. Then again, the question remains: Why is there a need for a new open access publisher?
In this fast-paced world, where people are engaged in doing momentous things, we consider our role crucial to publish their findings and deliver the research to widest possible audience. While there are some big players in this industry, offering some of the best features and robust customer service, the charges are too high, especially for authors belonging to developing countries. Similarly, there are publishers who—with low article processing charges—claim to offer a transparent and quick review process, but are questionable on some or the other grounds. Thus, in order to minimize the cost of publishing, while maintaining the review quality, we have designed our open access model in such a way so as to allow authors—with limited funding—publish and share their research with the audience it deserves.
At Rivera, we aim to publish knowledge efficiently. Our Editors who run the review process will give you a fair and constructive feedback. With our devoted team of editorial staff and deep industry expertise, we aim to significantly contribute to this industry and to the scientific community, while providing authors a unique publishing experience at a very affordable cost.
All the manuscripts submitted to Rivera Publications are subjected to rigorous peer-review process, in order to ensure that only relevant and authentic research with proper evidences is published. All the submitted work undergoes double-blind peer review process, and all the revisions are carried out as per the recommendations made by the field-experts.
Peer Review Process
Every manuscript submitted for publication is read by an Editor, for an initial review. If the Editor feels that the paper agrees with the editorial policies and with a minimum quality level, it is sent to at least two reviewers. The reviewers will evaluate the manuscript on different levels and share their opinion with the Editor. Based on the recommendations made by the reviewers and Editor's own evaluation, the Editor will recommend a final publication decision (accept, reject, revise). Editorial office has no role in recommending or taking part in publication decision.
The final decision is based on the recommendations made by the reviewers and Editor’s own evaluation.
Unlike, other publishers, we focus on thorough and quality peer-review, double checking the quality before publishing any data/results.
All the submitted work first undergoes an initial screening and pre-review check for plagiarism. If the paper is approved at this stage, it is forwarded to the Editor, who then assigns the paper to reviewers. However, if at this stage, any type of plagiarism is detected by Editors/Reviewers, the paper is sent back to authors for revision or rejected depending upon the quantity of similarity, which is again the sole decision of the Editor.
The Editor might ask the Editorial Office to locate and assign reviewers; however, the researched reviewers’ details are shared with the Editors prior to inviting. Only when the Editor approves the reviewers, an invitation is sent to these reviewers to referee the manuscript.
The whole process might take considerable time, and, also, since we are dealing with external scholars here, a timely response is never guaranteed. However, we make sure that each step is completed within the speculated time frame so as not to delay the author.
Editor decision and reviewers recommendations are shared with the authors for manuscripts receiving revise decisions for revision. After the revised paper is submitted, it is sent to the original reviewers if they are available to conduct the second round of the peer review. However, if the original reviewers are not available, new field experts are invited, and, should they choose to evaluate the revised manuscript, recommendations made by the reviewers on the original manuscript are shared and the reviewers are clearly explained of the updates on this revised paper.
The authors might feel that the process might take a lot of time before the final publication, but, at Rivera Publications, we are adamant on maintaining quality of the journal by publishing only relevant and significant research.
